Investing and Startups

When you are investing in a startup, when can you expect to start seeing a return on your investment? That is a big question when you are thinking of investing in any new opportunity. I looked into several start ups when I was in college and followed some ones done by Deaf individuals closely.  Many times you don't see what's going on behind the scenes until the last month or so before launch. This is NOT uncommon. Many things change before the platform or program gets launched. They may change founding members, actors, designers, etc. The finished product is what you see, not everything that happened/happens behind the scenes.  If you are considering investing, don't expect to see a return on the start up until more than a year has passed. Start ups, when done right, take a lot of time. If you want excellence, give them time to produce excellence.  Now we are leading to a start up I wanted to bring up.
