Money making apps. Do they actually work?

So, if you're anything like me, you're always looking for some way to make some extra money. I decided to try a couple gaming apps and a survey app. Here are the names if you're interested in them: Rewarded Play Playspot Qmee We will go through them one at a time.  I have had Rewarded Play for about 4 days and here are some things I've noticed right off the bat.  1. You need to have a phone with a LOT of storage.  2. You need 45K points for your first $5 giftcard.  3. At some point you will be required to use the three apps for two days that you download.  I don't think I will be able to complete the giftcard and will probably end up deleting the app altogether.  I have had Playspot for about a day and depending on the game, you can make a lot of coins, which translate to money. The highest giftcard you can get is $200 which is around 200,000 coins. If you play enough games, you can make that amount easily. I have 3-4 different games downloaded curren...

Outschool, Sales jobs, and more

As many of you probably know, I teach on Outschool. Recently, due to issues with my internet, I have not been teaching ASL as frequently on the website. While I need the money, we are unable to get internet at our house. I was recently paid 31.50 for two different classes which was divided up to be placed in savings, another checking account, my credit card, and student loans. I was also paid around $63 for another class that was also divided against those things.  I was able to pay about 25.50 against my student loans. While that may not seem like a lot, it is getting my $750 loan down to 725. I have more loans but that is the one I'm currently working on. I also have an Ebay account that is very inactive. I have things listed but few things are bought. Whenever I get money from there it usually goes against my credit card or it goes against my loan.  My husband has a sales job and is searching for a new job. He dislikes the fact that he isn't making enough sales and it...

The Importance of Food Cupboards

Food cupboards are important places for the community. Not only do they feed the homeless, they feed people who are in financially rough place. If you have the means and are able, you should buy food for your local food cupboard. Here are some things we got from ours today: 1. A gallon of milk.  2. 4 bags of beans 3. A bag of rice 4. Hazelnuts 5. Canned fruit 6. Canned meat 7. Canned Tuna 8. Bread 9. Cupboard safe milk 10. Tomato Sauce 11. Canned mixed fruit 12. Canned peas 13. Peanut Butter 14. Oreos 15. Fruit snacks 16. Gluten Free chocolate wafers 17. Mini juice  18. Spices  and more that I can't remember.  All of this food was a blessing to us. We can only go six times in a year, so we will need to be careful with it. Now we can't go back until August, which will be right before the baby is born. The food we got will definitely help us with this month's grocery bill, but we will still need to go to the store.  Now that I know where there is a food cupb...

Finances, Uber Eats, and more. Trusting God during uncertainty.

Hello everyone! Today I will be discussing Uber Eats, Finances, and Food.  My husband recently signed up to be delivering for Uber Eats. Our car isn't new enough to do their taxi/regular Uber service. We drove into town and noticed our area is quite dead in the Uber department. So, we have decided to drive closer to my parents. The likelihood of being able to find orders out that way are far more likely. I am hoping that we can make enough on Saturdays that we can supplement our income with Uber Eats.  My teaching on Outschool has slowed down quite a bit. I recently got two new students for one class, so that will help boost my weekly income for a short time. (Around $31.50 a week) I am sure a lot of people know what food insecurity is and how it can cause hoarding. I am glad we started to hoard canned food when we lived in our old place. We have fallen on hard times and started to rely heavily on our canned veggies. Now they are almost gone. I used 1 can of corn, 1 can ...
